I spent a little time in my home town of Cardiff in 2011 where I did a stint at Beryl Productions International headed by the wonderful Joanna Quinn.
The hand drawn animation, layouts and background illustrations were done by Joanna's mega talented pencil wielding team. The drawings were then scanned and used to create separate luma mattes for the various parts of the character like the muzzle, eyes, mouth, tummy etc.

I was part of the small compositing team who took the lovely 2D hand drawn animation elements and injected them with colour and depth.
